What’s The Worst That Can Happen?

People tend to fear what they don’t understand or can’t see. They so get to believing their thoughts about the situation that they then can’t imagine there is a solution, a way of overcoming the fear.

First of all, don’t believe all of your thoughts. Your mind is a liar. Second of all, there is always a solution; you have to be open to it. “How”, you wonder? This video proposes one “simple” technique for you to adopt and work with to help you overcome your fears.

I’m Kit Cassingham with Live In Focused Energy. As I read and learn about the way fear comes into our lives  — how we handle it how we get past it — I came across a really interesting question to ask yourself first let’s start with Do you have situations that are scaring you, that are worrying you?

Okay, I presume you do — most people do. When you find that you are overcome with fear and worry ask yourself “What is the worst that can happen?” and think through the possibilities. And when you come up with the worst thing then ask yourself can you deal with that — can you live with that?

If you can’t, then research in your brain what you could do to change that outcome. What action can you take? What change of mind can you make? And then take that action. So if you can live with it and it doesn’t need to be changed, there’s no need to worry. If you find you need to take action — to modify the result — then take that action. And once you’ve done that. there’s nothing to worry about. Nothing to fear.

It sounds simplistic, but that technique — those sets of steps — have worked for so many people through the years that I know it could work for you. too. It’s worked for me.

I remember a time when as a Realtor I got involved in selling a commercial property and it turned south for the buyer. So the buyer turned to sue me, the other realtor I worked with, and the seller. It wasn’t comfortable. It was gonna be a lot of money. We worked it out, but I felt that I could live with it. Boy did I learn from it! And I took actions to not repeat those steps again. So there’s a small example of how I have used this, so know that can work. Give it a try and let me know what you find.
