The path to success includes one great recipe: 1 part “surround yourself with good people” and 1 part “trust yourself”. Good people guide you, support you, and challenge you. Those good people help you grow and thrive. Trusting yourself helps you sort through what to accept and to adopt, and what to reject or put on the shelf for later. That self-trust strengths you and makes you smarter.
Those of us with ADD/ADHD will benefit by using this recipe. We think differently than non-ADDers so it’s good to make sure some — lots of them, maybe — of the good people you surround yourself are from your ADD tribe.
Put one foot in front of the other and keep on keeping on.
You’re so very wise to believe in yourself ,and your instincts.
And to push your self when you’re tired.
Sometimes I find more guidance and inner strength when I stop and listen to my self in circumstance that are challenging.
Look like you do also
Lara, I think we can all benefit from slowing down and listening. Thanks for sharing your experience with this.
